Several weeks ago, a few members of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra started planning an outdoor chamber music concert. They wanted to showcase some beautiful French music for harp, flute, violin, and viola – and they decided to donate their talents and make it a fundraiser for SCARS. About 25 animal-loving attendees enjoyed romantic and impressionistic works by Debussy, Ibert, and Lily Boulanger, as the Holmes litter kittens played in the background and Sara lounged at Brenda’s feet. Donations totalling about $600 were collected during the event, which was generously hosted by a longtime ESO supporter in his backyard in Edmonton’s Belgravia neighborhood. It was a beautiful afternoon and from start to finish, sweet Sara and the kitties were superstars!
