We are so sorry for what you’ve been through, Ebony. She had surgery at Boreal Vet for Pyometra, a serious and potentially life-threatening uterine infection that can affect animals. It’s characterized by a buildup of pus and bacteria in the uterus, which can distend the organ. Pyometra is often caused by hormonal changes/unspayed cats. The mass size weighed in at over 1kg. She’s in recovery and doing well so far, but she was very close to being septic. The cost for this emergency surgery exceeded $6,000—any donation helps.

A black cat was dropped off at our PetSmart location in a crate. She is morbidly obese and her hind end is a full of infection and the smell is awful. You’re safe now, Ebony.
