Update on Fang the kitten: His paw pads are a bit scabby but the vet thinks the pads will be fine. The last couple inches of his tail are now cold and we think will end up turning black. His ear tips are getting a bit black now also. We have him on pain meds and antibiotics in the meantime.
Update on Dice the puppy: She’s had a bath and has a beautiful furry brindle coat. She is happy puppy to have a warm home and all the food she wants to eat. She has already come a long way!

A concerned individual found a puppy and a kitten abandoned in a garbage can. Acting swiftly, the kind-hearted person brought them into their warm truck, providing immediate relief from the biting cold, while our team worked quickly to dispatch a volunteer for transport.
The puppy named Dice:
- Currently placed in a foster home
- Severely underweight
- Infested with fleas
- Covered in paint
- The foster family is diligently working to nurse her back to health, ensuring she receives the nourishment and care she desperately needs.
The kitten named Fang:
- Suffering from significant frostbite
- Has been scheduled for an emergency veterinary appointment
- His condition is serious, but with prompt medical attention, there is hope for recovery. The emergency vet will assess the frostbite and begin treatments to alleviate any pain and prevent further damage.
Thanks to the kindness of a stranger and the dedication of our volunteers, these innocent animals have a chance at a better life. As they embark on their journey to recovery, we remain hopeful that they will find loving, permanent homes where they can thrive and be cherished.
