April 23, 2026 – We’ve temporarily stopped intake and operating on emergency-only basis.
Yesterday we got a call about a dog who was abandoned.
We showed up… and she was deceased. We arranged for a post mortem & it appears she starved to death.
This is the reality right now.
We are trying. Every single day.
Trying to stretch dollars.
Trying to make space.
Trying to say yes when everything says we can’t.
But we are running out of the financial resources.
& animals are paying the price.
We’re asking for help.
We need sponsors.
We need donations.
We need people willing to step in so the next call doesn’t end like this.
Because “hoping” isn’t enough anymore.

She deserved a name so we called her: Concordia…. the goddess of harmony and peace.
