October 6, 2025 – Update
Blue here! I still have a long road to recovery, I have plates keeping my leg together and my foster mom tells me I have to rest for 12 whole weeks! So far, I’m enjoying the resident dog and cats, and I love getting pets and cuddles from all humans, especially children. In a few days I go back to the vet, where they will take my drain out. That will feel so much better! I will also need to have x-rays taken again to make sure my leg bones are healing ok. For now, I will get some much needed rest in my nice warm foster home, and I’m so grateful for all these nice people for giving me a second chance.

Meet Blue: This young female pup was hit by a vehicle and left for days with no treatment. Thankfully, a kind lady called for help. Blue has a badly broken leg with a large abscess and an enlarged kidney, and is currently being treated at Guardian VCA. Blue wants to thank all the kind people who call in about injured dogs that are in desperate of help, the amazing vets and staff who we all depend on for giving them the medical care they need, and of course all the supporters who make it all possible.
