Never underestimate the resilience of a puppy! Blinky is already up and walking after surgery for fractures in both femurs and one tibia. It’s amazing to see him moving and starting to explore again, and we know the road to full recovery will take several weeks of healing with a devoted foster home.
We’re incredibly grateful to each of you for making this possible—the operation, the care, and the ongoing support wouldn’t be the same without wonderful supporters. A huge thank you to the veterinary team and every donor who helped bring this opportunity to Blinky.

Blinky, an eight-month-old pup from a northern community, faced a life-threatening situation when he was struck by a vehicle. Unfortunately, his community does not have access to veterinary services, and the nearest clinic is unable to accommodate additional patients. As a result, it required a three-hour drive, one way, for Blinky to receive treatment.
Cases like Blinky’s often demand immediate emergency medical attention. In Blinky’s case, he suffered fractures in both femurs and a fractured tibia on one side. Our team always consults with specialists to discuss possible options, focusing above all on the animal’s quality of life. Thanks to his young age and with the help of pins and plates, Blinky is expected to heal and enjoy a normal, healthy life.
