Hello SCARS, I wanted to pass on the news of our beloved Barney passing away. We adopted him from SCARS in 2014 and he lived his life to the fullest! Although being an old soul he was always up for whatever! He became my hiking sidekick and I really lost count of how many mountains we climbed together. He also made the move across the country to Ontario in 2018. Our hiking turned to beach days and he became quite accustomed to being a lazy cottage beach dog. In spring 2022, he became a big brother and he was always by my side for the middle of the night feeds.
Our hearts are broken losing him so suddenly, but he will always be remembered as the best dog anyone could ever ask for. We have made a donation in his name and thank you for rescuing him years ago so we could be the lucky family to call him ours.
