October 16, 2026 Update
After successfully live trapping one adult male and 2 puppies yesterday after being abandoned off a rural hwy, we’re happy to share that we were also able to live trap the mom dog and another puppy today! We did learn, though, that there is one more puppy . So we’re currently working to trap the last little one as safely and quickly as possible.
October 15, 2026
We recently learned about 2 adult dogs and 3 puppies abandoned on the side of a rural highway. Sadly, we couldn’t catch them without live traps. Yesterday, we got lucky, we were able to catch one of the adults and 2 of the 3 puppies!
We will continue trying to catch the other two who are still out there, but in the meantime, we urgently need your support. Many of the animals we encounter come from communities with little to no veterinary access. That’s why we’re asking you to help support our Spay/Neuter/Walls for Winter program. When we prevent unwanted litters and help provide resources, we reduce suffering like this.
