Thank you to the kind person who stopped and picked Carlos up from the ditch, and to the even more amazing person who met them to connect with a SCARS volunteer. Thank you, SCARS volunteer, for stepping up and arranging for him to be taken straight to an emergency vet.
To everyone who chooses compassion and truly goes out of their way for a puppy who was thrown away like garbage, your compassion does not go unnoticed. Carlos was found skin and bones, with head trauma and swelling. Because of his condition, we transferred him to an emergency clinic to make sure he didn’t have a skull fracture. After x-rays and treatment, the good news is: no fracture was seen.
He still needs careful monitoring for a while, but his outcome so far is hopeful. Thank you to everyone who changed their schedule to help him, for helping a small life get the care he deserved.
