Sept 24 – We are so incredibly sorry to share that after 7 days of fighting parvo, sweet Elsa was not able to pull through. At 3 AM last night, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye. Elsa was surrounded by love and given every chance to fight. Thank you to everyone who donated, shared her story, sent kind words, and supported her throughout her battle. We are so grateful you were behind this little girl every step of the way. Run free, sweet Elsa.You were loved. You mattered. And you won’t be forgotten.
—-Sept 21/26 – Oh, Elsa. Parvo is a brutal one.
This sweet girl came to us from a dump just over a week ago. When she arrived, we knew something wasn’t right and rushed her straight to Guardian assuming it was parvo.
But then… she started pooping out an unbelievable amount of worms. 
We treated her, supported her, and for a little while, Elsa started to feel better. We thought we were turning a corner.
Then she crashed.
Elsa has now tested positive for parvo. 
Parvo treatment is intensive. Keeping a puppy hospitalized, comfortable, hydrated and supported while her little body fights this virus for 72 hours costs $7,000.
But Elsa deserves the chance to fight.
We have had emergency after emergency, and these bills are enormous. We desperately need our SCARS family right now.
