Sep 7/26 – Today we’re sharing the beginning of Smokey’s journey
Smokey, a young female pup , was unfortunately hit by a vehicle , leaving her with multiple pelvic fractures . Thankfully we had a volunteer driver that could immediately drive out and pick her up.
She couldn’t walk at all. We were very concerned about a back injury. Because every minute mattered, we drove her straight to an emergency clinic . Thankfully, the veterinary team acted fast, and surgeons were able to repair the fracture that needed surgery most .
Good news: her surgery went well!Now begins the hardest part—a slow, careful recovery . She’ll need time, rest, and lots of love as she heals, but we’re hopeful and confident. We’re expecting her to recover and continue on with a full, happy life .
