Meet Lainey, a sweet and gentle 1-year-old mixed breed who has already proven just how resilient she can be!

Lainey came into care after a very unfortunate encounter with a porcupine, arriving with more than 100 quills covering her head. Despite her rough introduction to shelter life, this brave girl has taken everything in stride and has remained incredibly sweet throughout her recovery.

These days, Lainey is much more interested in belly rubs! She has a wonderfully gentle temperament and absolutely loves attention from her people. She’s the kind of girl who will happily settle in for some affection and soak up every scratch and belly rub you’re willing to give.

Lainey is also a lovely walking companion and walks nicely on leash. At just one year old, she has plenty of life and adventures ahead of her, but her gentle nature makes her a wonderful companion for someone looking for a sweet, affectionate dog.
