Today was a good day for some very deserving rural pound dogs. We spent the day giving several dogs a second chance at life. In total, we pulled 7 dogs from one rural pound and 2 more from another nearby pound. Watch the video on Facebook here
We also stepped in to help a mama dog who had given birth just the day before to 11 puppies. Heartbreakingly, only 4 survived. We took the 7 puppies who didn’t make it to the vet so they could be cared for properly and cremated with dignity. Loss like this is never easy, and each one weighs heavily on our hearts. We honour their lives, no matter how brief.
For the dogs we were able to help today, this is the beginning of a new chapter. They now have a real chance at safety, medical care, love, and ultimately, a forever home. Days like today remind us that every mile driven, every foster home opened, every donation made, and every share truly matters.
