Saturday night we got a call about a small kitten who had snagged her stomach on a barbed wire fence, her front feet could barely touch the ground and she had spun round and round for a few days. She had wound the skin around the barb so badly and for so long that her skin began to die as gangrene set in.
We rushed Millie to Lloydminster Animal Hospital and even though she’s a slight 2kg, she is in fact an adult. How could we not take a chance on saving this girl after how much she fought to stay alive?
Our amazing vet consulted with one of the best surgeons in western Canada and came up with a plan for sweet Millie. As bad as it looks now, her team is confident she will make a full recovery. Keep Millie in your thoughts as she continues to fight.
