Hi everyone, it’s me Wesley. When I first came into SCARS care back in September, I was in rough shape. My skin hurt, I was itchy all over, and I smelled pretty bad. Everything felt scary and new, and I didn’t know what it meant to be safe. But then my foster family welcomed me in. They spoke softly, moved gently, and showed me that love can be patient. Little by little, I started to believe them. Now I know what it feels like to have a full belly, a cozy spot to rest, and treats when I try my best. I’ve even learned how to sit, lay down, and come when called! Life has been full of firsts for me. I wore a Halloween costume, I wag my tail when it’s time for walks, and I’m discovering that the world isn’t quite as scary when you have someone by your side. My fur is growing back, I don’t itch anymore, and this week I’ll see the doctor to find out if I’m ready for even bigger adventures. I’m still learning, and sometimes I get scared, but my foster family says there’s a really good dog inside me, and I’m starting to believe that too. Thank you for helping dogs like me find safety, healing, and hope.
