Two weeks ago, Jack and Daniels arrived in foster care tired, sore, and unsure of the world. They spent their early days curled up in their crate, too uncomfortable to move much, and only venturing out at mealtimes—when they’d be gently “ambushed” for their daily medicated baths.
Bath time was easy at first, but now that they’re feeling better, it’s become a lively game of chase! These two are learning to enjoy life again, and it’s clear their spirits are healing faster than their bodies. Foster Mum knew things were turning a corner the day she walked into the room and saw two wagging tails—proof that love, safety, and good care are working their magic.
Jack and Daniels now run, play, and chase balls with joy, and while the resident dogs are still playing hard-to-get, these boys are hopeful they’ll win them over soon. They absolutely adore being stroked and scratched—it’s become one of their favourite parts of the day (besides treats, of course!).
Though their physical healing continues, these sweet souls are blossoming. They’re gentle, loving, and so incredibly grateful for the soft bed, the full belly, and the kindness they’re shown each day. Watching their personalities emerge has been nothing short of amazing.
They’re not ready for adoption just yet, but they’re getting nearer—and we just couldn’t wait to share their story. Stay tuned as these brave boys continue their journey toward their forever home.
