May 31, 2024 Update
It was a tough week for Goofy! After being hit by a car and shattering his jaw, the first treatment we tried was to use a soft muzzle, but unfortunately his injuries were not healing right and did require surgery. His jaw is back together on both sides and now he’s resting at a foster home. Please wish him some speedy healing vibes!

An update on Goofy: The plan from Guardian Vet is to keep a muzzle on to stabilize his jaw for 3-4 weeks. This means working slowly to get some mush food in and water. The neat part about the muzzle is there’s enough room for him to do that all himself. Slow and steady, Goofy! The tough part is the limited playtime with all the resident dogs. We are so thankful for the foster homes that are willing to step up to help with guys like him.

Meet Goofy. This poor pup was hit by a vehicle and is now on route to Guardian VCA Emergency. He is one of the many requests today alone for emergency assistance and strays. We are really trying to stay positive, but the adoptions of animals are at an all-time low. If you can consider adopting, please do so. Every animal adopted opens up space for an animal waiting.
