August 7, 2024 Update
We are heartbroken to share that two of our new pups succumbed to this disease. Our team fought hard for them, but it just wasn’t enough.
At the same time, two of these precious littles have been making huge progress, so much so that they were released from veterinary care to one of our foster homes today. Two more remain under veterinary care, they continue to hang in there in a precarious balance.

Parvo virus is an awful disease that strikes with lightning speed. It lingers in the ground and attacks the weak and the young. Our momma didn’t receive proper care, although she tried her best for us. Our surroundings were dismal, our immune systems compromised. Our only hope was the kindest of people, a SCARS volunteer who has saved thousands of animals. And once again, she was the light in our darkness. We are terribly ill. One of our siblings passed away before we even got the veterinary hospital. There are 6 of us remaining. 6 little souls, who plead with you to continue to support SCARS.
