"Look at me from a distance and give me a moment to warm up. My name is Dante, and I am just getting used to my new surroundings. I came into SCARS with my siblings, but was quickly separated from them and sent to a foster home. It was a whirlwind, but I needed to gain my own confidence and figure out who I am. I was very nervous around my foster family. I met my doggy sister first. She was nice and wanted to play, but I needed some time to figure out what playing is. I stayed where I was comfortable, outside. It took me a while before I was confident enough to take a step inside. Once I did, there was not turning back. I am still nervous around quick movements and when the kids start to run around and yell. I do not react in an aggressive way; I am definitely very submissive. I am used to the dog, it's just taking a bit more time to get used to the kids and cats. I am good with doing my business outside and am getting used to being in a crate. I am comfortable in the crate while they are away, but whine a bit when I have to go in at night. I am getting better at sleeping in the crate, I would just like to be able to see my people and be closer to them. I am only 5 months old, so I will need continued socialization and training to become the best pup for your family. Please reach out and meet me!! "
